I wanna see a john kerry mod for Doom 3. You start the game as usual and just after the first zombie you injure yourself. Goto HQ immediatly and fill out a purple heart request. Go back to the fight.
Opps you really got wounded by an enemy weapon. Goto HQ for medic and put yourself in your another purple heart. Medic says your are ready to go as the wound was slight. Go back to the fight. Get your subordenates to swear that you did brave things so you can get another medal or two.
Damn, you injure yourself again. Goto HQ and put in for another purple heart and take the next transport home.
Show up at a congressional hearing and say that the people who you served with are the scum of the earth, make up fictional tales about your whereabouts on missions. Say anything and do anything possible to undermine the troops still serving in uniform.
SCREW YOU TOM BROKAW
My grandfather was tough as hell, no doubting that. His childhood is marked in the history books as the Great War. His teen years marked the start of the great depression and move to excape the dustbowl. Then he fought a war to save France and the world from singing the Horst Wessel song. Came home and raised a family.
My father grew up on a small farm and had to pick in the fields for his school clothes as money was tight. He married his school sweetheart at 18. He was drafted and served during a time when it was unpopular to do so. He served his FULL time in the military. Came home and worked hard to provide his family. My parents never cheated on eachother and as far as i can remember my father never ever, not once, told a single untruth. They lived their lives as an example of what a good people should be.
Ask me and I'll tell you in an instant that my parents are the greatest generation. It is easier to wear a uniform at a time when those that could not sometimes suicided. Its a bit harder to wear it when your fellow countrymen spit upon you. It is difficult to remain on the stright and narrow when the media idolizes those that fall and subject themselves to excess.
My grandfather lived in a time when people like Tom Brokaw didn't have "great respect and admeration" for a man who cheats on his wife in the Oval office, then lies to us all about it. When there wasn't a sexual position named "a Kennedy" and when Woodstock was just a music concert and not elevated to the equivilant to the seconed coming of Jesus Christ.
I say my parents are the greatest generation. Not just because of what they did, but because of what they didn't do. Their moral strengh perseveired through the moral lapses that the media even today is hailing as achevments (single motherhood and infidelity).
so Screw you Tom Brokaw, and fuck off john kerry. You misrible failure.
